Despite the controversies that circulated amongst hopeful fans, we put an end to all the confusion. The Age of Electric is no more, and will be greatly missed by all its fans.

Okay, here we go again... according to Jeri, Kurt has stated that the news of the band's break up is false. Apparently, after a recent Zuckerbaby show, Kurt, who is filling in for their drummer, confirmed to several AOE fans that the band is in fact still together. While rumors continue to circulate, we still await any official statement.

Despite the good news we last reported, the AOE has in fact called it quits. Ryan Dahle reported that the decision to dissolve the group was made because the strain of touring had begun to threaten friendships within the band. Both Ryan and Kurt will continue with Limblifter, while Todd and John will continue with OO Complex. We hope to soon have an official statement to post here on the page for the fans, so check back for more news.

Outside a show for their band, OO Complex, Todd and John both confirmed that the rumors of the band's split up are FALSE. The AOE is simply on break while the two sets of brothers work with their other respective bands.

Videos from the AOE will be shown on the May 17th edition of MuchWest, as well as an appearance from one of the guys. MuchMusic will also air the AOE Spotlight on May 26th.

In the May edition of Watch magazine, it is reported that the Age of Electric has called it quits. The band's apparent break up was also reported by Vancouver's CFOX radio station. However, there is still a lot of controversy surrounding these rumors; we are yet to hear an official statement from the band or their representatives. We'll keep you posted on all the breaking news.

During a recent interview with MuchMusic, Jordy of Pure named Ryan Dahle as the band's "spiritual advisor" for their new video Chocolate Bar. Jordy also said that Ryan travelled with the band in a van for two days during the shoot. Ryan appears in the video alongside some other familiar Vancouver faces.

On March 16th, Todd appeared solo on Vancouver Television's Gabereau Live, where he performed an acoustic rendition of Scare Myself. He commented that the band was busy with many side projects, and that there are no tour dates set for the near future.

The AOE have been nominated for the Best New Group Juno award. Their competition includes bran van 3000, Matthew Good Band, Leahy, and Wide Mouth Mason. The awards will be handed out March 22nd at GM Place, Vancouver.

The AOE's New Year's show at Nathan Phillips Square is scheduled to air LIVE on MuchMusic! We've been told that it should start at about 8:30 PST...

Watch MuchMusic's MuchWest Sunday, December 21st at 9pm PST; Terry David Mulligan and the guys spend the day at Grouse Mountain.

The video for AOE's new single, Don't Wreck It was added into medium rotation on MuchMusic as of December 16th.

The November 28th Vancouver show at the Vogue Theatre was broadcast live over Vancouver's 99.3 CFOX. Also, both that show and the November 27th Suckface party were broadcast live on the internet at SurfStereo. Both shows will be archived soon and available to download once again.
