09/04/98 : Gene would like to apologise to everyone that came to this years Reading Festival to see them perform on Sunday afternoon. Martin became the proud father of a 7lb baby daughter only a few hours prior to the bands performance. After 40 hours in Labour, both Martin's wife "Julie" and baby "Evie" are comfortable. After the groups sold out warm up show at Brighton, everyone was looking foreword to debuting new material and performing with special guest Keyboardist "Mick Talbot"(of Stlye Council fame). Both Band and Management promise exclusive Club dates to make up for cancelation.

08/30/98 : Gene are currently playing READING FESTIVAL in England August 29-30th 1998.

01/03/98 : GENE are currently working on their third album. Working titles include: 'Slice', 'Mayday', 'Toasting the Union' and 'Angel'. New material should see the light of day in late spring.

09/25/97 : GENE adds a 2 part single to their collection, Where Are They Now? CD1 studio tracks/ where are they now? 2 new songs: gene out in the seventies and nightswimming. CD2 live tracks/ from the royal albert hall, where are they now? save me i'm yours, voice of the father, sub rosa.
