AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! I SAW THE SPICE GIRLS!!!!! *ahem* ok... sorry about that.
This is about what my reaction was on July 22 when the Spice Girls came to my area, and I held a
ticket to go see them!!! Ok anyways, my best friend and I packed it in and headed to Polaris
Amphitheatre, where the Spice Girls were performing. There were sooooo many people at the
merchandise stands it was unbelievable. But we waited in line and I bought a kickass t-shirt, the tour
book, and a poster. We went in and found our seats, by this time I was freaking out, everybody was
screaming whenever there was the slightest possibility they might be coming out soon. They came
out an hour late, but that was alright... I mean come on, they're the Spice Girls. So nobody really
minded.
When they started off and the music for If U Can't Dance came on, everyone in the crowd went
completely wild. I have to say, all of their songs, which they did about 20 in all, were absolutely
fantastic. It erased any doubt in my mind that they might not go on without Geri. In my view now it
seems like she was never there in the first place. Victoria is actually an amazing singer and I can't see
why people are always bagging on her, she is very very good. They have extremely powerful voices
and they know how to use them. My favorite I think (even though it's like, impossible to have an
ultimate favorite they were all so good) was when Mel B and Mel C sang "Sisters Doin It For
Themselves". That was definitely awesome. There was a storm brewing around us, which created an
ultimate effect with the wind blowing at you, so that was awesome. All in all, going to see the Spice
Girls was about the coolest night of my life. I only wish I could do it all over again.
