When we arrived at the bar we were all amazed at how small it was. And the stage went to my
knees! So my 3 friends, Sarah and I just sat on the stage to make sure we would be right in front. It
was a good idea since I sent the whole night right in front of Sean. It was weird since I knew all the
songs they were going to play because the set list was right in front of me (I can list them if you want
since I got the set list at the end). I think the b'ys were amazed at how many of us knew all the
songs. When they started to play Paddy Murphy we all sang along so Sean just stopped and let us
sing. It was really cool. They did that for a few songs. I think that they were a little disappointed
though that it was mostly Canadians there. Alan also played Faith and Video Killed the Radio Star
which was great. He seemed to be in a great mood.
I must admit that I was a little disappointed with Sean. He seems a little full of himself. Ok he is
extremely good looking, but he also knows it. This girl next to me was soooo annoying and kept
trying to get in front of me and putting her arm in front of my face waving a Newfoundland flag. Well
he kept smiling at her and giving her flirtatious looks, encouraging her. I mean I don't care that he
was not looking at me, but she was just so annoying and I was sort of pissed off that he seemed to
enjoy it. Oh well...I like him anyway. Plus he gave me his water at the end of the show.
I also got to meet Alan. We were the only ones (my friends and I). They would not let anyone
backstage and did not come out to chat. Since Sarah knew them, he came out in the corner just so
she could say hi. The he invited the 4 of us to go say hi. I liked how he put out his hand and said "Hi
I'm Alan!" Like I did not know that! He signed my set list and we talked a bit about Montreal but
he could not stay because people started to notice he was there. Then they all left with boxes in their
hands so that they couldn't stop and sign autographs. I wonder why they didn't stay and chat with the
fans.
Okay I think that's enough! :-) I just have to say that I am so glad I went and that I will always
remember this GREAT concert! Especially since I will never be that close again! :-) --Pascale
