Tormented was a self-released album, and debuted at a release party
on November 29, 1996. During the next year, over 2000 copies of
Tormented were sold at shows. It was this album that led to their
meeting with Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit and helped them get signed.
Is it still available?
As for sales through regular channels, unfortunately the answer is
no. However, one can do a search for "staind" on EBay and find at
least two copies up for auction at any given time. Be prepared to pay
in excess of $100.00 US for it though, it seems to be a very hot item.
