My story of meeting B*Witched and the 'N Sync Concert with opening acts: Britney Spears and B*Witched December 27, 1998

The morning of the 'N Sync concert, I was listening to the radio. A commercial came on saying that a group called B*Witched was going to be at the Mall of America signing autographs. I kinda zoned out then because I had never heard of them before. Then in the same commercial, they said something about 'N Sync. I thought they said they were going to be at the mall too, so I freaked out and called Becky. Then we both freaked out because nobody could take us. An hour later, Becky called me and said "You wanna go to the mall?" of course you know what I said so I'll skip to when we got there. After waiting for Becky's family, we finally made it down to the rotunda to find 4 girls sitting on a platform and a semi-long line of kids, mostly girls waiting to meet them. There was still about an hour left of the signing and we figured we would make it through the line so we got in it and waited. It turned out B*Witched was the new opening act for 'N Sync, it was supposed to be someone else we had never heard of and they changed it without us noticing. After about a 1/2 hour of standing in line, we finally got to the platform. The first one we talked to was Lindsay, she was really cool she asked us our names and stuff and signed a tape for us. Next was Keavy she talked to Becky a little about the concert she was really cool too. Then were Sinead and Edele, they were eating crackers and cheese and stuff (it was around lunch time) and they just smiled said hi and stuff and signed our tapes. I took some pictures but I used a crappy through away camera and they didn't turn out here is the best one. The diagram on the right shows where everything is. Its bad I know

Now to the concert, I didn't have my camera cause I'm dumb, but heres what happened: The first act was B*Witched, they did this really cool dancing thing to the B*Witched Jig and performed C'est La Vie, Rollercoaster, To You I Belong, We 4 Girls and I think Blame it on the Weatherman (I don't remember) They were awesome and the whole time Becky and I were like "WE KNOW THEM!!!" The second act was Britney Spears, she did the usual swayed from side to side as her little dancers danced around her and she sang off key. I'm sorry, I just don't like her very much, she did get the crowd ready for 'N Sync I'll give her that. After Britney, there was a 20 min intermission so they could get the stage set up. Just as I started to hear normal again, the lights dimmed and 'N Sync came out wearing space suits and they danced around to the star wars song it was cool, then they took the suits off and sang almost all of their songs and did some other stuff. Justin did a beat box thing, they sprayed the crowd with squirt guns, performed other songs like Gettin Jiggy Wit it and stuff like that they put on an awesome show, I don't know how they have so much energy, I'd be dead after about 1 song! Oh at one point, Becky got up on her chair jumped in the air and screamed "I love you Justin!!!" and he looked up, pointed in out dirrection and waved, no I don't think he heard us cause we were in the 26th row, but it was cool anyway. I just really wish I had my camera with me. After the concert, we went outside and their bus was right there and we got to touch it!! I know its dumb but it made me feel special!
