SPECIAL K
continued

"And I think I'd make a great dad. Not now, but in a few years' time. I'm definitely going to have kids. There's no question about it. Maybe when I'm 28 or 29. There's too much living to be done before then."
For now, Kian's very happy to be in Westlife even if his life is mapped out for months and months to come. "And I'd like to get into acting, although I know it would be very hard. I'd love to make a quest appearance in Friends."
But in the immediate future, Kian is concentrating on taking Westlife even nearer to world domination. There's the new album, next year's tour - which Kian promises will be amazing - and more hard work ahead. There's no chance of a day off soon. But he's happy.

KIAN ON MARIAH CAREY
"She was very sweet and down to earth. People have bad perceptions of Mariah and they're not true. We got on with her very well. She's easy to work with, yet she's very professional. She wants things done a certain way because she knows that's best. She's been in the business for 15 years and she's obviously got there because she knows how to do things."

FIVE V WESTLIFE
What's the truth about the Westlife/Five rivalry?
There's no rivalry. It's not true. The only thing I'll say about us and Five is I know Ritchie and Scott. I had a conversation with J and Sean once and I've said hello to Abs a few times.

Are things frosty when you see them?
We don't bump into them that much. If I see them on the street, I'll stop and say hello. I think they're a great band. They're brilliant at what they do. I have both their albums. There's not one person in Westlife who dislikes anyone in Five.

Did you say Mel C was ugly?
That's not true either! It's totally picked out of the sky.

Would you want to snog her then?
(Big pause. Wrinkling of nose) I don't know that she's my type. I wouldn't say no and I wouldn't say yes. If she was a nice enough person I suppose I would.
