Who is Mom? Where did she come from? What's it all about?

Mom lives in Cedar Park, TX. She loves music and just plain folks. She bought a doughnut shop over on Xoom Street. She moved into the apartment upstairs. Mom's Place is a great place for music, food, and just a whole bunch of wholesome fun.

Mom spends her free time over in the alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.* hierarchy. She loves all the folks over there. It is a place that is warm and friendly. A lot like Mom herself.

But Mom is sad sometimes. She's a widow. Her husband was an absm.* netcop. He was one of the best. He was like AB, only a lot thinner <G>.

He drowned in a flood in the 80s group. It was awful.

Mom found him the next morning, slumped over his very damp keyboard in the den. His hand was poised over the left mouse key that would have sent a report to abuse@home.com. The flood got him first.

Mom was devastated. The kids are all grown now. The oldest is off in net cop school, learning all about NNTP posting hosts and AUPs. Her daughter, the "baby" of the family, just entered UT as a freshman. High tech is her ultimate destination.

Mom took the Cabal Insurance money, packed up, and moved to Cedar Park. She and her three-legged cat, Scooter, live just above Mom's Place, the newest and best doughnut shop in town.
