Where do I come from?

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela on July 15, 1972. I went to Colegio La Salle-La Colina during High School (any Lasallians around?), and then went to Universidad Metropolitana. There, I got a degree in Electrical Engineering in October, 1994.

What do I do now?

I finshed my Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at Cornell University in February 1996. While I was in CU, I was also Secretary of Vencornell.

Currently I work for Procter & Gamble at the Venezuelan Paper Plant, in Guatire. Here's a picture a friend of mine took with a digital camera in the production floor, back in early December, 1997.

When I'm free (which is practically never!)...

I am always listening to music (I have a 430+ CD's Collection). These days I'm a bit into Alternative, Techno and Ambient, but in my collection you'll see plenty from Peter Gabriel, U2, 70's Art Rock, Rock in Spanish (Charly, Fito, Soda) and other stuff.

Also, I love to read Isabel Allende, Pablo Neruda, Mario Benedetti, Richard Bach, and other contemporary authors. In my personal style, I try to emulate them... I also write.

Although I hardly ever have time to read it all, I am subscribed to Wired. It's a great magazine!

Recently, I finished an Open Water PADI diver course (I go to Chichiriviche de la Costa almost every other weekend). I love the water but specially I have something about dolphins, I can't really explain. My dream is to dive with a dolphin...

Finally, when I still have some minutes left, I play the keyboard.

As actors, Robin Williams, Anthony Hopkins and the Monty Python line-up (si disfrutan de Les Luthiers, les sugiero que chequeen la antologia que tengo de sus Home Pages en la WWW - en estos días, están de visita en Caracas). Actresses, I seem to be hooked on Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Thompson for some weird reason!.
