About Rockin' movies stars
AS everybody knows, the sessions which originated Let it be were originally intended to originate Get Back album, hence they're tenderly known today as the Get Back Session.
During these sessions, the Beatles were filmed durind dozens of hours, playing, trying to play, talking and argueing. Although it's general conception that the music the Beatles made during this period was very loosen, perhpas VERY loosen, many bootlegs have surfaced showing this material.
Most of them try to select the best parts of Get Back session, by leaving most of conversation out and picking up the best takes. Eventually, there's even a very good take.
And we have Rockin'movis stars, na eight-CD set of Get Back material. It's not a boxed set. youc na get every CD separetedly.
The worst thing about this collection is also its best thing: it doesn't select. So here there's more spoken material than in most of Get Back bootlegs, which can be boring sometimes. On the other hand, it offers a rare oportunity to hear the Beatles on studio, even their discussions. Some of the CD's are almost entirely filled with conversation. Others concentrate no songs.
The truth is that any Beatles material is worth of having, and it's not diffeent with Rockin' movie stars. It cointains dozens of wonderful takes of obscure Beatles tunes, and even some unreleased Lennon/ McCartney.
The Get Back sessions were indeed not very serious, but they were very rich, and this provides na apparently endless source of wonderful things.
