| | Formed in 1993, Clevelands' own Mushroomhead has accomplished more than it's members ever expected. From their first show at the now legendary Flashs', to selling out the areas
largest venues, the band has had to fight for success the entire way. Beginning as a side project, formed by members of the most popular bands around Cleveland at that time, and a strange mix of bands it was. They included Hatrix, Terror, Unified Culture, Ritual, Purgatory, Trelleborg and the
Spudmonsters.
Mushroomhead has often been compared to Faith No More, a comparison that band members will not deny. But their influences range from Bjork to Meshuggah to King Crimson, and many more obscure artists. Wearing masks started out as a way to
conceal the band members identities, they didn't want people to have any preconceived expectations
about them. The masks turned into what is now an extremely large stage show combined
with a unique blend of metal, hip-hop, rap and techno music is an assault on the senses that is not soon forgotten!
