Friends are there forever,
They will never leave or betray.
They will tell you the truth,
and they will never turn away.

Friends are there,
through the easy and hard.
They will offer advise,
and they will seek the answer.

If friends are not forever,
then why do we bother finding them?
If friends are not forever,
then why do we turn to them?

Friends will always be there,
you do not have to look for them.
Friends are there to stay,
and they will never go away.

A simple smile, a loving word, a joke to brighten up the day,
A phone call when you're not at your best, a light to lead the way,
An ear to listen a heart to accept, to love and understand,
The simple way you came to me, the gentle touch of your hand.

The way we think a lot alike on fun or serious things,
It seems to be this friendship has taken to it's wings.
Through days and weeks and even months we have shared a lot "deep" within,
but guaranteed with love and trust, that's a good way to begin.

For when two people such as us, can meet and almost blend,
I've read your heart, I know your mind, and am "greatful" to call you Friend.

Wide open space,
Between the trees and me,
Emptiness and me,
Confusion and decisions,
Feelings hard to define,
And I say to myself,
Just a little longer,

Coldness seeps
It's way in,
I am falling deeper,
Into what I fear most,
As I reach out,
There is nothing there,
As possible there was something once,
Only to be gone,
And I say to myself,
Just a little longer,

The sun drops,
The last inch of light falls,
The squirrels more likely to be huddled up,
But not me,
Something I never possessed,
And I say to myself,
Just a little longer,

Then the sun has gone,
Darkness spreads its wings over me,
I see nothing so no one sees me,
Feeling of bitterness only,
And I say to myself,
Just a little longer,

An Owl peers down,
With question in her eyes,
She doesn't have a hope,
In helping me,
As she doesn't see my pain,
Spreads her wings,
Passes me by,
And I say to myself,
Just a little longer,

The soft earth,
Seems the only thing holding me up,
Even then I could slip,
And wondering takes me,
To why and how I got here,
Without even knowing it,
Yet no one notices,
As they didn't see before,
So I say to myself,
Just a little longer,

Shimmering in the darkness,
I see two moons,
Reflecting off a steam of thoughts,
Along a rocky road,
Slowly giving in to finding a way out,
I take the plunge under the river,
Then the wind carries a whisper,
Gently on a breeze,
'Just a little longer.'

Have you ever felt like you knew someone a long, long time ago?
Another place, another time, a friendship of the souls?
Two people who share a bond for reasons neither know,
A feeling that they were friends, a long, long time ago?

Did they stumble onto each other by pure circumstance,
Or was it fate and destiny that played a certain hand?
Two souls intertwined, they are worlds apart,
But the soul, it knows no difference, in matters of the heart.

Somehow they are drawn together, fate has brought them back,
Each living worlds apart, they journey separate paths.
When this life is over, and a new life begins,
Their souls will find each other, two souls that we call friends.

Heaven In Your Eyes
by Drake

Through your eyes of blue I see,
The green rolling hills of Tennessee.
Of abundance rare,
Beyond compare.
Through your eyes I have seen heaven,
Felt the Angels singing on high,
Heard your soft whisper like the wind.
The longing and yearning we both share,
I hear your call,
Through the winds through the trees,
Your voice echoing through valley be.
I have seen heaven in your eyes,
And that heaven is you,
For you are such a part of me,
That when apart we both are blue.
