Lyrics
of the playboy pallbearers
I never actually thought this would happen ever...
I've tried to get my hands on lyrics, but I stopped trying
a few months ago. Karma To Burn is an instrumental band now
(and will be in the future) so it wasn't high on my priority
list anymore
But suddenly Anthony Doyle from Belfast sent me a mysterious
file, which later proved to contain all the lyrics of K2B's
debut album. "All the lyrics?" Well, not of the instrumentals
of course... And in some places there are some gaps. And in
some other places there might be some mistakes... But this is
a giant step for mankind!
Any corrections or differing opinions on the lyrics are welcome

MA PETIT MORT (4:09)
I look forward to my death,
excitement has [been / me ?] short of breath.
Not exactly mystified
when that good that brings you die.
Laughing, laughing along, the brothers say you like to get high.
Mother said "You're gone", tripping on the fourth of July.
When Lazarus (Ooh...) died Jesus went
to read up on his faith in death.
Wretched (Ooh...) souls that faked the rest,
feel this dream they must confess.
BOBBI, BOBBI, BOBBI - I'M NOT GOD (2:59)
Don't buy any longer ... any more.
Under the stone lies Daddy's head,
under the stone, in the cold.
To the shade, fellow died burnt from the sun,
dried for days and had never begone.
Daddy, do you like me? (Do you like me?)
Ever get with me?
Daddy, do you like it? (Do you like it?)
Take it on your knees (knees).
PATTY HEARST'S CLOSET MANTRA (5:13)
Dum-a-little-day-um. (Repeat).
I liked the waiting, has past and gone.
All his desires still remained.
Having God on the run, another winter's on it's way...
Ah...
They like the sound of death to life.
Smell the rot inside
(They feel their)
Hearts, hands, eyes (X4).
Too many people have lost their souls,
damned to a life of decay.
Been a lover for far too long,
without the power to refrain.
MT. PENETRATOR (4:36)
Our lady of more (Repeat).
Our lady of more, this saddened whore.
How I adore her when she's on the floor.
Only love is right to as you...
Only love is right...
She's right, that's why the needle sings.
Skin of the mayflower, a pale reflection brings...
EIGHT (4:39)
APALACHIAN WOMAN (3:50)
Apalachian woman,
she's easy to screw.
A voice is here before her,
she'll suffer once for you.
Ah...
Apalachian woman
shooting savages from her head.
Rapid eyes are burning,
of the wine that drunk him dry.
Ah...
All my friends are alcoholics,
temptations drip from their eyes.
And I'm so tired living in this shit,
cast iron hate, black angels to the right.
Steaming locomotive,
she's past the '68.
Butchered on the highway,
there's glitter on the rain.
TWENTY FOUR HOURS (5:00)
[Originally by Joy Division]
So this is permanence,
love's shackled cry,
what once was innocence,
turned on its side.
A cloud hangs over me,
marks every move,
deep in the memory,
what once was love.
Oh how I've realised
how I wanted time,
thought it too protective,
tried so hard to find.
Just for one moment,
thought I'd found my way.
Destiny unfolded,
I watched it slip away.
Excessive flashpoints,
beyond our reach.
Solitary demands for
all I'd like to keep.
Let's take a ride out,
see what we can find,
my newest collections of
hopes and passing times.
I never realised
the lengths I'd have to go,
all the darkest corners of a sense
I didn't know.
Just for one moment,
I heard somebody call,
looked beyond the day,
and there's nothing there at all.
Now that I realised
how it's all gone wrong,
gotta find some therapy,
this treatment takes too long.
Deep in the heart of
where sympathy felt swayed,
I got to find my destiny,
before it gets too late.
SIX GUN SUCKER PUNCH (4:08)
A pale, haunted man walks through this crowded land,
he holds his stomach like a girl.
Teared down this last stand, choking on spit and lead.
He wants his women to scream.
The lights shudder, reach you motherfucker
The lights shudder, reach you motherfucking clown
You're not alone, man, cos when you die it's like falling asleep,
only you never dream and you don't ever wake up.
I only strip the bleeding.
Ah. Ah ...
THIRTEEN (3:47)
(WALTZ OF THE) PLAYBOY PALLBEARERS (3:36)
Why do I borrow, Cecile, my dear?
Now that I'm with your one, you'll have to kill.
Why don't you kneel?
I never will, now that I'm missing
your backpack still.
Just hang on while the sun still shines on and on.
Am I in the gutter to sell all my fears?
I'm like everything I came to steal...
Last time you borrowed seems all too real,
to sucker me out of it till you bleed.
Take all you can swallow, Cecile, my dear.
This is your home to show to ever leave here.
TWIN SISTERS AND A HALF BOTTLE OF BOURBON (3:55)
I love to ruin my tent, I love the romances.
From the bag of angels a sawn-off broken wing,
they're drinking whiskey, they're getting high,
they cast the shadows and the passing of the summer sky.
The King is dead, the well is dry. Ow!
She's shooting broken arrows, she's shooting crooked smiles
all along that wicked bench from the belly of a swine.
She's pouring whiskey, she's ...
Too scared to see herself, reflections of the devil's eyes.
The need may be your twisted needs,
it may be you're craving.
To rest my head on souls of fire,
a sight for sworn eyes
kiss my eyes ...
Dum, dum, dum, dum ...
SIX (3:52)
"Hey! Hey! You said, just we sell out."
I come to feast on dearest man
... mortal tan.
Filling their bodies with disease,
swollen still like human beings.
For that lack from their prize,
they fucked their children, stabbing their eyes.
DOG (1:08) - Extra track
Dickie 6 - This here's Dickie 6, I need a radio check my one point seventy nine, come back"
Black Dog - "You got Black Dog here, biggest and most powerful thing in the world, back"
D6 - "Yeah, Black Dog, I just left the titty car wash in Hurricane. They got a fourteen year old girl in the cabin with Daddy puttin' her hand on the stove, trying to put the fear of Jesus in her and I'm just trying to appeal to her better side."
B D - "Hey, hey, that's all fine and dandy. I'm travelling up 79, going past Charleston. Might stop off and see a little honey of mine named Alison. But I'm really looking for Bald Knob, you got your ears on? What's your twenty Knob?"
Knob - "Knob, I have got these whores, I got ten ful, every chain man does, and every wet station's on my knee. I'm gonna Me-xi-co. I'm looking for some sexual healin'. Why don't you boys meet me up at the bar in Mo-town."
Black Dog - (Car turns round, tires screeching) "Wow, that's a good idea, I'll bypass Charleston and meet you in Morgantown. What do you think Dickie?"
D 6 - "I got the pedal to the metal now, I'm heading to Mo-town."
B D - "Bald Knob!"
K - "Knob!!!"
