The second year went even better, with some 5.000 people registered at the doorstep. But since august, it's a coming and going of visitors! For some reason, I get between 80 and 145 people per day, and that is without registration of the people who jump to http://come.to/freebird directly... I can't explain, so I won't...
But enough about the pages, this one's about me. I was born at the end of the 1960's, somewhere halfway july, in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. I'm probably not the biggest Karma To Burn fan around, but I thought that this band was missing on the world wide web. In unofficial comments, Will told me that he got more info from me than he got from Rich. Rich on the other hand says that these pages make an own K2B website unnecessary...
But apart from frolicking around on the net and managing a small label, I do some rent paying stuff as well. I have a masters degree in Town and Country Planning from the University of Nijmegen. I work at a provincial NGO concerned with environment, nature and landscape in the region where I live. So I get paid for bothering policy makers, civil servants and politicians, and that happens to be one of my favorite passtimes...
Apart from that I'm helping out my girlfriend in her own little bureau. And I still find the time to play in a band: CANCAHUA. Before that, I wrecked the "heavy matter" band DOGMA. Then I got kicked out off the groovy metal sludge band LANDSLIDE. But I took the drummer with me, so in fact we kicked out the guitarist... We then formed SHINDIG, but this band was cursed somehow. First we had to get rid of our Russian metalhead guitarist, then we didn't make it to the studio, then the singer/guitarist left. But we were saved by Jakub of MUGWUMPS fame. And managed to play as a support for SHARD and CALAMUS once.
But since last week, I made a new start with 2 new guitarists and a new vocalist. If you can tell me what the meaning of CANCAHUA is, you can get a free copy of Graven Images, or anything else from my catalog... On the acoustic side, I like to play some Irish, Russian and Jewish folk as well. No hassle, just plug out and play! I'm playing guitar and mandolin mainly in this ever changing folk collective.
