just got thru i.m. with michael. it was a short exchange. i look forward to when the both of us have more time.weeks ago i went to gina's 'baby party' (baby shower). i discovered while there that michael had scheduled his house warming party 4 the next day. i was not prepared. they (he and his girlfriend, rachel) said they sent me an e-vite, but i never got it. i suspect my junk mail filter caught it. anyway...so i didn't go, and i felt really bad about it. i want to see michael's new house. i know he's proud, and he's been putting a lot of work into it. i also haven't seen ezra (michael's son) since he was a helpless little baby. i'd like to see how he's grown. hopefully it won't be too long before we can coordinate schedules such that we can get together. at the baby shower gina seemed very happy to be surrounded by friends and family, and to be the center of attention. it was good to see her in that setting. she was the celebrity for the night. my neices and nephews thru staci are amazing. they've grown so much. they're all beautiful, smart, and amazing individuals. the whole experience of that day was nearly like x-mas for me. i love my family, and family is important to me. it was great. staci's b/f brannon is trying really hard to be a part of this family. as far as i'm concerned, he's proven himself worthy, and i welcome him (with caution, of course). i feel that to mention brannon, i should also comment on jason (gina's husband). i'll admit i've had an 'i'll believe it when i see it' attitude towards jason. i tell you what though; at the end of the day - he's there. he's one of the most laid back and seemingly balanced guys i've ever known. he married my sister, took her (our) last name, and he's stayed loyal for several years now. i hope i haven't been unfair to him. i think he's done a pretty good job of proving himself. he's family now in my eyes.
i will be contacting my nieces denver and reagan, and my nephew dylan soon through the internet. i went to my nieces' web pages, and i got an email or 2 from dylan. to my nieces if you read this before i write you; take down your address and contact info from the web page. leave only maybe an email address. there's some dangerous people in this world. i don't want them finding you. you have to be careful on the internet! dylan; i've used hotmail for years (since like maybe '96). i like checking it from anywhere i happen to be, and it has a pretty aggressive junk mail filter. i also use yahoo! mail, and i have a comcast account. i've yet to see an attractive enough advantage to gmail to get me to get an account. your challenge: convince me!
well, i'm feeling the beinnings of hunger. i think i'll start making dinner. check out pix from gina's party at staci's below...
