Studio Notes & Comments: After two sucessive classic rockers, we edged into post-punk/new wave territory for this very catchy, but powerful number. This is probably one of the quickest songs we've ever come up with. Jimmy basically had a chord sequence which he presented one Sunday lunctime......and by that evening, we had arranged and recorded the basic tracks, with me contributing a whole one extra chord to the music! The lyrics were knocked off by Jimmy in about 30 minutes....which is amazing considering that they are some of his best! The rhythm guitar has got a great "new wave" sound to it; a Mesa/Boogie amp model with lots of flanging, courtesy of the POD. After the initial session, I arranged the keyboards and lead guitar and the overall effect is Psychedelic Furs meetsU2 meetsBig Country.
