PHISH!!!

This is a page about my love for the band Phish. I know that it is now cool, or almost mainstream to be into the whole Phish scene, but I have heard Phish since 1989, when my brother started following them, but I didn't really accept the talent that they really have until 2 years ago, and it has turned into an obsession now.

So....what is Phish?

Phish is made up of 4 unbelievably talented people....Trey Anastasio, plays guitar...Page McConnell, who plays the piano incredibly, Jon Fishman, who plays drums & Mike Gordon, who plays bass guitar.

I have been to a couple of shows, I would like to have been to more, but I am stuck at school. Every show that I go to, they just keep getting better and better. It is amazing what a group of 4 people can put together.

A deeper look at the band-and the members

TREY ANASTASTIO: electric and acoustic guitars, drums during Henrietta solos, & vocals; = Ernest Guiseppie Anastasio III; went to Taft, a CT prep school.

MIKE GORDON: electric bass, standup bass, banjo, acoustic guitar, & vocals; from Sudbury, a suburb of Boston; AKA Cactus or gak...simply gak.

PAGE MCCONNELL: electric keys (inc. some new in 94?), Hammond B-3 organ, grand piano, upright bass, mouth piano thing, acoustic guitar, & vocals; AKA Chairman of the Board.

JON FISHMAN: drums, vacuum, "Madonna" washboard, banjo, mandolin, trombone, acoustic guitar, & vocals; AKA Henrietta et al.

     *(Note 11-25-95 Hampton, VA, at which they all rotated one at a 
time to the right -- Trey to keys, Page to drums, Fish to bass, Mike to guitar, 
Trey to drums... -- so that everyone played the four main instruments.  Phish also
repeated doing this during the New Year's run this year, it consisted
of about the same thing, except Trey stayed on Drums the whole time.
     I was at this show, and this does not even come close to describe how 
awesome this was....after they rotated, they went into a keyboard calvary...I 
have this show on tape, if you would like a copy.
