Boring day,
Stop by for an accidental visit.
We sit beside dark purple flowers,
forget their beauty when choked by weeds.
Talked about nothing,
And everything
is left unspoken.
Don't think this encounter was quite so "accindental"
Maybe you got bored,
or started to worry about me...
Because of what I tell you in total confidence.
So maybe I'll see you again
in a month
weeks if we're lucky.
And you call,
Leave a message while I'm out
or stop by,
or send a silly letter...
If you can remember my address.
Before we know it
it'll be like it was.
"We've got to change this..."
Weekly phone messages
don't quite cut it anymore.
The intentions
never acted upon...
Or in all too short time.
And it's getting late,
Can barely see the stars rising,
or setting...
When you're turned up-side-down
you can't tell the difference.
Walk you to your car...
Drive off while I wave.
