I don't really read very many books but I do occationally, I mainly read mags and comic books. I have read loads of Alien books like Genocide which is when Earth is in the middle of rebuilding after the Alien infestation and there is a new drug called fire which is ditilled from the very essence of the aliens' body chemistry. The miltary want it and a big tycoon called Daniel grant wants it. the only problem is that the only place where the main ingredien can be found is on the aliens' home world.
Here is an extract from the book:
Trap!
The bulb split open like a pregnant belly. And the baby was deadly as death itself.
"Jesus!" cried Daniels, leaping back, pulling his rifle down.
The emerging bug struck with the speed that Kozlowski had seen it many times before. It grabbed Lietenant Michaels
by the arms and pulled him up.
It had been hiding inside. The Alien was just waiting for then to tap.
Michaels screamed as he was hoisted upward in the claws. The secondary jaws, slathering drool, rammed against the
reinforced helmet, cracking it.
Michaels screamed again...
The first Aliens book I read was Earth Hive and it is when the Aliens take over the planet but there is loads more to it than that, I thought Earth hive was very good when I read it.
Alien Harvest is about a once-famous scientist called Stan who has fallen on hard times, a woman called Julie. Stan made a cybernetic alien and it is totally under his control to help him on his quest. Together they both become pirates with a hijacked spacecraft and a crew of hardcase misfits. They all go on an adventure to find the ultimate pot of gold: royale jelly (the main ingrediant for fire). But they have to go to the alien home world to get it and with Stan's cybernetic Alien with super strength they just might pull it off.
Here is an extract from this book:
It was like a dance, turn, swing, fire, the only dancehe had ever done. Turn, wheel, extend the arm. BOOM! BLAM!
Turn again, gracefully duck, turn, fire, fir again, then go forward...
Gill turned and saw the faintest glimmer of greyness penetrating the profound gloom of the hive. He let go of the
depleted plasma rifle and pulled a chemical slugthrower out of a side pouch. four quick shots blasted a close-packed
group of aliens with high explosive. Then Gill turned and ran, with Stan on his shoulder, toward the light.
His feet slid on the hard clay of the tunnel's floor, and then suddenly he was out of the hive and into the
sepulchral grey light of planet AR-32...
My next book is Rogue which is about a mad scientist called Professor Ernst Kleist who creates a male version of the Queen on a former penal colonyof Charon. Charon has a labrinth of underground tunnels which offers the perfect shelter for a alien hive. Only Captain Joyce Palmer and a few hand picked marines can stop Kleist and his mad creation.
Here is an extract from this book:
The concussion from the grenades sent alien limbs, heads, and bodies everywhere, and shook the roof of the hangar.
But the bugs just kept coming.
Climbing over hundreds of thier own dead, they poured into the room.
"Fall back," Green shouted to his men and they started moving, firing as they went.
"Give them cover!" Joyce shouted, and she and her crew did the best they could to keep the bugs back.
But it was clear Green and his men weren't going to make it. green had been right. There were just too many of them.
The situation was hopeless.
but Joyce kept on firing anyway.

Kerrang! is probably the best music magazine I have ever seen. It hads all the music I like in it, it does interviews with stars, gives away posters, gives away great CDs , it tells you what bands are playing where and telld you about the bands. This mag rocks and is only £1.50!
Redline is a new magazine and from what I have seen it is pretty good and issue 1 is £1.
Mad is a funny American magazine, I don't get it any more but I loved it when I did. I still do like it.
