The CD contains 11 songs, which are pop-influenced and mainly love songs. There is a special treat as D'arcy (Pumpkins bassist) and Veruca Salt singer Nina Gordon add harmony vocals to two of the tracks. Former SP drummer Matt Walker provides the drums and percussion.
If what you're expecting is hard-rock and screaming guitars, you ain't gonna get it. The songs are very reminiscent of "...Said Sadly" and "The Boy", both of which can be found on The Aeroplane Flies High box set. You've got a handful of "dears" and "darlings" that pop up at just the right time! The music is soothing and very pleasant, and can't be considered anything less than a success. You may also notice that his song-writing ability and singing are much improved.
The first single "Be Strong Now" is a great song with an unbelievable bridge. It's only drawback is that it leaves you wanting more when it ends at 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Another great track is "Jealousy". Look for this jazzy, funky tune to be a possible single soon. As for the rest of the tracks - well, we're not too familiar with them yet, so you'll have to get the album to find out for yourself!
