- RAW destroyed, and I mean DESTROYED Nitro in head to head competition for the Monday ratings war. Raw put up hourly scores of 6.6 and 6.4 for a 6.5 composite. As for Nitro, well, it scored a 3.2. Raw actually doubled Nitro's score. WOW!
- Wrestlemania was a success. Once again, the WWF put on an entertaining show with an excellent and exciting climax. The only downside of the event was the much-hyped Hell in a Cell match between Taker and Bossman. I'm sorry, but you cannot have a match like that at Wrestlemania and not go outside of the cell. The best part: The Brood descends from the rafters!
- There has been a lot of talk regarding Bret Hart's comments on Nitro this past Monday in the ACC in Toronto. Was it a shoot? Was it a work? Bret insists that he is legitimately upset with WCW and unless a miracle happens, he will no longer work for the company. Everything he said out there was from his heart, although the Goldberg angle (which was awesome) must have been a plan.
- Did anyone else realize that when Christian was caught in the Ankle Lock and screamed, "She's in the basement!" it was the first time he has ever spoken as a WWF character? (By the way, great bloodbath!)
- Rock vs Austin again at April's "Backlash"? WWF seems to be hinting at it. Should be interesting, although I would love to see a HHH/Austin feud or a Austin/Mankind match.
- It's hard to decide which Raw is the best of all time. The WWF keeps putting on excellent shows week after week.
- First and foremost: the latest on Chris Jericho. After his recent appearance on TSN's Off The Record, his contract situation was still up in the air. However, off the air, The Lionheart unofficially stated that he wanted out of WCW when his contract expires in 4 months. WWF looks to be the number one choice for C.J.
- WCW's Uncensored was a better than usual PPV put on by the company. The rumoured Flair/Hogan double turn seemed to go quite well, as fans backed Hollywood's Hulkamania routine for the first time in years. However, Chris Jericho lost to Marilyn Manson, I mean, Saturn, so the show couldn't have been that great.
- Last night's edition of RAW was filled with great moments. The main event Austin/Mankind vs Rock/Wight had the fans rumbling for a good 15-20 minutes. As well, the J.R./Dr. Death angle seems to be doing quite well, and I am enjoying this "nobody wants the Public Enemy in the WWF" angle, too. Can you believe Bob Holly got up after that fall?!?
- The current card for Wrestlemania is as follows:
Austin vs Rock for the title (guest ref is ?)
Big Show vs Mankind (winner gets to be guest ref)
Taker vs Bossman (Hell in a Cell)
HHH vs Kane
Sable vs Tori for Women's Title
Owen/Jarrett vs winner of battle royal on Heat
- What's the deal with the Road Dogg/Bad Ass switcheroo? We'll find out sooner than later. Will the two replace each other in their matches for the IC and Harcore Titles?
Rumoured matches for WM 15 are:
Debra vs Ivory (evening gown match)
Brood vs Public Enemy
- Ratings should be up tomorrow.
- Chris Jericho's contract is up in about 4 months. No word on what he will be doing, or where he is headed if anywhere. The rumoured contracts which were offered by WCW were false, so dismiss anything you've heard to date.
- RAW DESTROYED Nitro in the ratings war this week, scoring a composite of 6.5. WWF's Monday show had two 1/4 hour ratings of 7.0 (NAO and Sable/Sacrifice). The only close point in the ratings was the overrun, where Nitro had a 5.7 (Flair/Goldberg) compared to Raw's 6.1 (Austin/Mankind).
- The next three Raws leading up to Wrestlemania 15 will be live. They should be big as the PPV promises to be a good one!
- Rumour had it that Luna had been fired by the WWF. WWF.com confirmed that it was an indefinite suspension, not a firing. So, we can trust that Luna should be back on TV soon enough and that The Brood will remain in full force.
- Nothing else to report. Later!
