Went to see Michael at the Starplex in Dallas on
wed. 5-20. What a fantastic performance- my only complaint; too
short!! I purchased two new T-shirts, my true love bought a cap.
When we entered the Starplex, we were handed a card allowing us
to purchase a 2 CD package for only the shipping and handling
charges. What a deal! Needless to say- I sent mine off the next
morning. A fan such as myself has many requests: more albums,
more often returns to Dallas and his continued success-and
perhaps even more people will become fans-if they don`t-they have
no idea what they are missing out on, while the rest of us devour
his talents, his looks, his demeanor and most of all his love for
his fans.
BRAVO MICHAEL for all you are and will be-I`ll be here, gazing on with adoration!!!
UPDATE
Have purchased "Secret Passion" CD. WOW!! I almost have
it memorized. Move over Placido and Luciano. My hopes are that
Michael will do more. Those of us who has crossover appreciation
of music will certainly purchase every CD that he produces,
whatever it is.
As I stated: My true love and I were fortunate
to see Michael in concert. I`d like to say that the review in the
Dallas morning news is HOGWASH
Yes Wynonna was there and she did "open" for Michael, I
was not impressed. I could not tell you a single thing she sang,
let alone repeat any of the words, because I couldn`t understand
them. The only part of the performance that stood out was when
she joined Michael for "It Takes Two".
I have to believe that the
critic was not present at the performance. This was the same type
review Michael got last year. this tells me that there is much
lacking in this persons appreciation of good music, a great
performance from a fabulous performer. None of us likes all
music, all performers, but please give credit where credit is
due.
This critic probably thought Frank Sinatra and Elvis Pressey were
mediocre talents-so I give credit where credit is due. This "critic"
lacks vision and appreciation of "real"
Talent, so let him be satisfied with less than GREAT and those of
us who "know" talent when we hear and see
it derive the pure joy of it.
