Okay.  What the heck is all this fuss about the Year 2000 Bug?  The thing is, all these computers are gunna like, explode when the year 2000 comes.  Okay maybe not explode.  But computers are designed to only recognize the last two digits of the year... like 98 etc.  So when the millenium comes around, it'll think that its the year 1900.  And so like, your bank account will go *pschoot!* down the tubes cuz back in 1900, you didn't HAVE any money in your account.  And thats how a lot of things are going to work.  So they say.  Now.  I don't know if its gunna screw up MY computer, but if it does, I have a solution.

If ya'l have Windows 95, you know that you can change the date and time by double clicking the time box on your Start menu bar.  I think thats what its called.  (My teacher would be ashamed of me.)  Anyways, why doesn't everyone just set their clock back a year?  Then the computer will think its 1999 for awhile, and we have a whole nother year to think about this stupid millenium problem.  And people will be like, "Well what if not everyone does it?!"  Well I don't really care if THEY don't do it.  They either do it, or they're screwed.  Not my problem, right?

Another little theory that I heard about is to just let the computers think that its the year 1900.  We can
just redo this Century, only do it right this time.  I saw this in Newsweek, I think this guy is like, on crack or something.  He goes on and on about how this time we won't have so many wars, Japan won't bomb Pearl Harbor because they know the consequences, this time we'll kick Hitler's butt, and all that.  Sounds okay to me!  He's like, yeah, then we can like, not even INVENT computers!  Uh huh that'll happen.  I think the hits on my website would slow down a little bit after that.

The only like, really logical solution that I can think of other than setting your calendar back a year, is to just take all of your money out of your bank account, sell off any stocks you might have, and sit back and watch the idiots who DIDN'T, lose all their cash.  Hehehe that would be cool.  Hey, we've been talking about this Bug thing for like, 2 years already.  By the time its 2000, it'll have been about 4 years.  Don't you think they had enough time to be warned?

Thats all I have to say about that.

Do you agree with my solution?

Are you afraid of the Y2K bug?

Do you think the world will end in the year 2000?

How do you think the world will end?

(Also, its really screwy... After you get
back from voting and looking at the results
you'll see what I mean...
