Local Bands Page

This page features some local bands in my home town of Davenport, Iowa. Of the few local bands that I know of, some of the best are: Crop Circle Hypocrite Hoth Wampa   Note:  In order to listen to the audio files on this page, a Real Audio Player is required.  To download one for free, go to: http://www5.real.com/products/player/download_player.html             Crop Circle is a great band from Davenport that combine several different types of music.  While somewhat reminiscent of Coal Chamber, Crop Circle is slightly heavier.  Their heavy music is fueled by their hate for christianity.  Check it out for yourself at the Real Audio clip below.
  Click here to hear Less of Three                 Hypocrite is a five person band most of  whom I am good friends with.  I have not yet  heard them play live, but I have heard their demo tape and was quite impressed by it.  Some parts are extremely heavy with a Fear Factory esque sound, while other parts seem somewhat experimental, almost like Nuerosis minus the keyboards.  As soon as I get a copy of their demo tape, I will add a Real Audio clip.  Until then, please be patient.             Hoth Wompa is an all out Death Metal band from the state of Iowa.  If you think that they can't play just because they're from Iowa, then just listen to the Real Audio clip below and flush all of your stereotypes down the crapper.  Hoth Wompa can compete with the likes of Cannibal Corpse and Napalm Death in my humble opinion.  As far as creativity goes, Hoth Wompa blows away many other common death bands.          Click here to hear This is Hate               If you enjoyed any of the above audio clips and would like information on how to get a copy of a demo tape, E-mail me at: Barfo21@aol.com       Home             Metal Page This page hosted by Get your own Free  Home Page
