Chris Fritz was born in Grafton North Dakota but was raised in Fargo. Playing from age 12, Fritz started the "Alley Cruisers" at age 19, later changing the name to the "Catliks."
After an "awesome" year in Las Vegas, Fritz returned to Fargo and started "Hattrix." After 5 years playing bars, Fritz joined Ripchord in the spring of '98.
Fritz's favorite bands are "The Who," "Judas Priest," and "Led Zepplin." Drummers such as Simon Phillips, Keith Moon and John Bonham.
Fritz plays Tama drums, Zidjian "Z" custom cymbals and uses Pro-Mark sticks.
