Masters Of Rock, Pop & Beyond Top 10 Countdown

Wk of 7-12-2004

Where is everyone this week? Laying out in the sun munching on
Pringles and sipping Snapple? Only 3 charts (including mine) came in.
No Arjan, no Anthony, no Kathy. The sparse number of charts submitted
made for some interesting changes. For one thing we have 4 big debuts
this week while The Von Bondies succumbed to falling off
after 13 weeks on the chart (I guess 13 really was an unlucky number
for them) since not as many of their supporters submitted charts
they ended up going bye bye. Meanwhile the lack of competition
allowed for Luciana Souza, now the current longest runner
on the chart, to shoot up from number 7 back into the Top 5.
One thing didn't change though: The funky New Wave fun of
Franz Ferdinand's "The Dark Of The Matinee" still managed to hold
at #1 for a 2nd week! Before we get started let's
say farewell to some songs that have departed.
