Gloria Estefan was born Gloria Fajardo on September 1,1957 in Havana, Cuba. Her family immigrated to the United States. As a child she grew up listening to music. She taught her self how to play the guitar. She met Emilo Esteran Jr when she was 17. She joined his band at first the band was called Miami Latin Boys changing it to the Miami Sound Machine. Gloria and Emilo were married on her Birthday. Her family includes her son Naybi (September 2,1981) and her daughter Emliy (December 5,1994). Gloria Estefan is known as the Queen of Latin.
