After Cult broke up, Billy became a guitar for hire.
He met Mike Peters (The Alarm) at the Phoenix Festival Soccer tournament.
Billy played with Peters in the U.S. and contributed on Peters solo album.
Billy & Mike recruted Craig Adams (The Mision, ex-Cult) on bass and Johnny Donnelly (Saw Doctors) on drums.
They wrote some songs and planned a tour of the U.K. and U.S.
Johhny Donnelly's band, the Saw Doctors had a tour of their own planned, so Duffy & Peters hired Steve Grantly (Stiff Little Fingers) to drum for the tour.
Colour Sound impressed everyone, including Bob Rock, who later produced their demo tape.
ColourSound played Asbury Park in New Jersey (Dec.7, 98)and press immediatly dubbed them 'The Future of Rock'n'Roll'.
ColourSound signs a world-wide record deal with new U.S. label Velvel (Nov. 17, 98).
Velvel went belly up, Sanctuary Music Productions sends album out(exclusive deal by 21st Century Records)
Okay, Coloursound's debut album is out in the U.K., and will be hitting the states in early 2000. You could order their album over the net at www.coloursound.com so check it out.
ColourSound will still make new albums as a side-project while Billy is back with the Cult and Mike will continue his solo career.
During the Cult's Beyond Good & Evil world tour, Mike and Billy were talking about the second Coloursound album, so keep your ear to the ground!
