RD - They've got two hits in the top 10, Boyz II Men. First I have to tell you, one of the lead singers in the song is sitting right here next to me, Shawn "Slim" Stockman. How does this feel, buddy?
SS - Man, it feels great. These past four years have been like, excellent. I mean, you know, since we've been out in 1991 everything has just been rolling beautifully and I mean, far beyond what we've expected, and you know, everything.
RD - You're telling me. "On Bended Knee", here is Shawn and the boyz.

******

RD - Begging and pleading for another chance, "On Bended Knee". Boyz II Men, grabbing number nine in the top 95 of '95. So ,1996 is kind of a chance for you to, well, spend your money. (laughs). So, what are you doing?
SS - Collectively, Boyz II Men is taking a year off in 1996. The group will be vacationing and won't be releasing any more Boyz II Men things at least for the year of '96.
RD - I'm so glad we could celebrate this moment together. Two songs in the top ten, and Shawn Stockman, even with the full moon we were talking about, do you have any time at all for women?
SS - I don't know, man! It's like, you know, it's lonely on hte road, man. But you know, we try to, ah, manage!! (all laugh).
RD - here it is, "Water Runs Dry"

******

RD - Oh, let's don't wait 'til the water runs dry, we might watch our whole lives pass us by. Boyz II Men with the number three song in the entire year, and a song written by the multi-talented Babyface.

******

RD - Boyz II Men, I gotta say, congratulations on five American Music Award nominations. You gotta feel great about that, is that super? Give it up for 'em. (lots of cheering in background). You gotta tell me too, how did you hook up wit hMariah Carey?
SS - I think, it was like, Mariah called us, and it was like She had an idea for the song "One Sweet Day", um, it was in New York City and we were on tour at the time. So, we didn't have too much time to actually get into at that moment. But um, she played us the song and we wrote the lyrics that day and then we had to go off and do a show. Then we came back later on to cut the vocals, and um, that was that.
RD - Let's have a look at the number one songs of the past few years. In 1992 it was "End Of The Road" (EotR starts playing), that's you Shawn!! (laughs). In 1994, here they are again, Boyz II Men! ("I'll Make Love To You" starts playing). Shwan Stockman, you guys are unbelievable!

******

RD - Shawn Stockman, I want to thank you for being here, from Boyz II Men, thanks for your special comments. The number one guys of 1994. You gotta bring them all back in here. Boyz II Men, thank you for being here on the countdown with me.
