The bass has only one line I think and it pretty much matches what the guitar plays. If you play just the bass line then it sort of not very interesting, but if you play the bass line with a guitar playing the guitar part it sounds really good. Anyways here it is: G---------------------------------------- D----------------------------------3---3- A----0------2-2-2-2------4-------2---2--- E---------------------------------------- On the Paris Version I think Simon enters in a little early and plays the 2-3, 2-3 part which really helps you get the feel for the A note he plays next. ALTERNATE INTERPRETATION ======================== Transcribed by: Alex Arrowsmith February 1, 1997 Key: Am Instruments: Guitar, Bass Tab source: audio Accuracy: at least 90% Transcription by: Alex Arrowsmith February 1, 1997 (I hope Andrew Tay doesn't mind me stealing his tabbing format, but I think his tabs are ALWAYS the best!!! So I'd like to try out his format.) This classic Cure song from Seventeen Seconds has many parts to it, but it's a lot easier than it sounds. There are also a lot of weird chords that make this song really unique. The ending is like the first change, except is continues down the neck - not that difficult to figure out yourself. Also there are plenty of fun bits Robert inserts here and there - early bootlegs are full of them. This is how i play it, as i figured it out from close listening to my bootlegs mostly, but some of my friends play it a bit differently. Can't say whose interpretation is correct or not. Hope it's useful!
