The Cure Snow in Summer Transcribed by: Paul Dant (pdant@lion.qacps.k12.md.us) Sounds like it has three guitars, two playing the intro, in which I think one is acoustic and the other an overdriven electric, and the third playing the little melody thing that comes in at about 0:27. Guitars 1 and 2: These are hard to hear, but for the intro, I think both of these sound right: Either play an A-B-C# chord progression, and then A-B-A, but the problem with this is that C#maj, C#min, and C#7 don't sound right once you play the G string. I tried C#5, but that sounds funny. If you figure it out, write me. Instead, you can play an A-B-A both times of the intro. The melody at 0:27 goes: G ---9--9-9-9--9--9-9-9-97-6---4---4-4-4/6-6-6-- The bass goes like this... G ----------------------------------------------------------------- D ----------------------------------------------777---------------- A ---------------------------------9-9-999-7-7--------------------- E --5---7---9---9-9--9-9--5-7-9-7---------------------------------- Something like that, anyway... =;+) The rest of the song just kind of follows the bass line, but it's real hard to pick out, since there's two guitars playing really irregular strumming patterns. There is also a change in the song, but I haven't figured that out yet...
