"Forgotten Worlds"

This was our first profesional Studio recording.

So here is a little bit of background on our second album.

Sometimes it's hard to know what the artists had in mind.

Well, now you will know...

"Forgotten Worlds" - SIDE 1 (21:55)
  • "IMPROV" * - This is an improvisational, instrumental piece that just sort of evolved from practice and warm up into something that we just had fun playing.
  • "OLD LOVE NEVER DIES" - This is the infamous "We were in Love and she left me" type song. When you get tired of the games, these are just some of the things you feel.
  • "HEAVY METAL BLUES" * - Blues with an upbeat Rock edge. Another Instrumental. This one turned out to be a favorite.
  • "THE ABYSS" - This is Jason's first attempt at "composing" a song. It was actually written before "Old Love.." and it was written about the same girl. This the "This is how much I love you" song.
  • "ROCK & ROLL" - Our instrumental attempt at the famous Led Zeppelin classic.

    "Forgotten Worlds" - SIDE 2 (19:40)

  • "451 WALKING MAN" * - This instrumental follows the book "Fahrenheit 451" in which the main character is a Firefighter in the future. His job is to start fires and burn books. The song follows the story. The first section is the character doing his job, everything is fine, and the government - his employer- is right. In the second section, he learns that something is not right! he reads that Firefighters used to put out fires, not start them. It gets faster as the character learns that things aren't the way that they are supposed to be. This is his quick realization. The third section is the fight. His battle with the government. War between citizens and the government breaks out as this section climaxes into a large explosion as the government tries to destroy the city with Nuclear weapons to stop the uprising. After the explosion, the last section shows that the main character has escaped. This is his journey down the river as he looks back, recalls what happens and plans his new life.
  • "FORGOTTEN WORLDS" * - This is an acoustic song that shows the struggle of life and the problems that we all must deal with each day. This is another Syrinx favorite.
  • "NO TURNING BACK" - "Follow your Dreams...." This is Jason's musical dream of the way that he feels inside. This is destiny.
  • "FOREVER" - A small acoustic instrumental solo about the feelings of love.
  • "LIFE AT THE TOP" * - Jason's all time favorite!! This song starts out with a beautiful 12 String acoustic. This song covers all of my feelings on the way that people should be. Patience, perseverance, and music. "The music will make you strong."
