Feeling a need to get my thoughts on paper (or html) lately and figured
this was as good of a place as any. I have lots of thoughts in my head
at all times. As I get older my friends continue to shrink and besides
my husband, I only really talk to a handful of people. Usually the thoughts
in my head aren't shared with many people, especially here in the south,
and especially at work. It's a damn good thing my husband and I on the
same page about a lot things as I do not think I would ever easily be able
to conform to please anyone else. Conceed on simple things sure, but will
I ever chance stance on being a pro-choice, vegetarian, atheist, activist,
not likely.
Was raised outside of Washington, DC and forever grateful to have grown
up around so much culture. Had an okay childhood, besides a few parent
issues, that probably now looking at it, weren't all that uncommon. Had
a lot of friends in high school and I tend to dote on those days because
my college experiences were rather shitty. Went to undergraduate and graduate
school at Towson University outside of Baltimore. Since I was not a drinker
or into casual sex, can't say college was much fun. Went home often and
once I met my husband in late 1995, spent a lot of time in Philly (where
he was living) and away from school as much as possible. I tend to reflect
a lot on the past. Is a very bad habit I've acquired over the years. I
guess people tend to focus on the more exciting times of their lives, and
being in HS in the early 90's rates up there pretty high.
