The magical mystery that has kept Beatles fans guessing for 34 years has been solved.
Sir Paul McCartney has admitted for the first time that the band's avant-garde piece "Carnival Of Light" exists and wants to use the track featuring whistles, gargles and John Lennon yelling "Barcelona!" in an art film about the Fab Four.
Reports of the instrumental have been rife among fans since notes from recording sessions at London's Abbey Road studios became public, revealing that in an interval while making "Penny Lane" in 1967 the band laid down a 15 minute track.
The recording was played at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, where it would have been heard by a handful of people. But since the band never talked about it, many feared it was lost - until now.
