GET WELL CHANT

Chants of "Hare Krishna" were echoing around the world about 5am today as Beatle fans sent their best wishes to guitarist George Harrison.

The spiritual get well card was started by Rip Rense, a freelance writer and contributing editor to Beatlefan magazine.

"The idea is for everybody to think happy thoughts about him and to send them to him," Rense said.

He's also calling on people in parks and other public places to play one of Harrison's most popular post-Beatles songs, "My Sweet Lord", in which the musician himself chants "Hare Krishna".

Harrison, 58, recently denied reports that he is gravely ill with cancer, saying he is active and very well.
