A rare recording in which pop legends the Beatles and the Beach Boys poke fun at each other is expected to sell for more than $13,500 this week.
It was found at a California flea market.
The interview, recorded on an acetate disk in 1964, was bought for just $9.60 at a market in the Los Angeles area earlier this year, said Dave Gioia, a spokesman for the firm auctioning the disc.
"It's an extraordinary recording in which the Beatles and the Beach Boys poke fun at each other in the most good natured way," Mr Gioia said. "It's fun to listen to, it's a real stitch."
The recording is a simultaneous telephone interview recorded in March 1964, in which Brian Wilson jokes with John Lennon about the Fab Four's famous haircuts and fashion styles.
The Beatles also talked about an untitled movie project that would later become the classic film A Hard Day's Night.
The disc, which is under the hammer in an online auction conducted by Collectors Universe Inc., had drawn bids of up to $13,563 ahead of the close of bids today.
A music buff spotted the 33 1/3 record, made to help promote a Hollywood event, in a box at a well known flea market in Newport Beach.
