George Harrison healed a rift with his American sister days before his death, according to the New York Daily News.
The former Beatle had become estranged from Louise, 70, after she opened a bed and breakfast in her home in Illinois, called Hard Day's Nite - a venture that reportedly "appalled" him.
But the paper said the pair had reconciled after Louise drove about 1,600 kilometres to New York where Harrison, 58, was in hospital. She had not spoken to her brother in four years, but made the trip when she learned he was gravely ill.
A family source said Harrison's wife, Olivia, encouraged him to see his sister and "they reconciled".
