Thought by many to be Paul McCartney's greatest love song.  Again, it was 
inspired by his relationship with Jane Asher, which now looked back on 
course.  It also took into account a new influence on the band, the Beach 
Boys.  Like the Beatles, they were in the process of transforming themselves 
and in the form of the fragile Brian Wilson, they also had a composer 
possessed of equal genius.  Paul was especially impressed by the complex 
harmonic structure of "God Only Knows" from the classic Pet Sounds album.  
"Here, There And Everywhere" was an attempt to capture the same atmosphere.  
Shortly before his death in 1980, John Lennon would declare that it was his 
favourite song the Beatles ever recorded.
