PIGGIES (Harrison) 1968 George's "Piggies" is a very gentle mocking of middle class behaviour. However, this is not how Charles Manson, a struggling Californian ex-musician, saw it. For him it was a call to arms. The line "What they need's a damn good whacking" took on a whole new meaning. He and his followers went on to commit a series of mass murders, the most important being film star Sharon Tate. At one of the murder scenes the word "pigs" was daubed in the the victim's blood.
