The McKessock family tree has been researched in Scotland by a member of the family who's great-grandfather built Scattersburn Cottage (beside Grove Cemetry) in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Many members of the family lived, were born & died in the cottage and there are several graves in the cemetry which date back to the 1800's.

(The site of the cottage is now a Grave-Stone Makers).
Previous to that some of the McKessock family lived in Ayrshire, Scotland and, in the 1700's, a branch of that family moved to Ontario, Canada. All McKessocks there are descended from this branch.
