> Mark Leeman - vocals (born John Ardrey, died June 1965) Alan Roskams - guitar Terry Goldberg - organ Dave Hyde - bass guitar Brian "Blinky" Davidson - drums (born May 25th 1942, Leicester)
A fine live act who fused R&B and Jazz and built up a strong following playing London's clubs. Leeman was killed in a car crash in 1965 when the band had only released one single, although there would be a posthumous release featuring the singer. Roger Peacock was recruited on vocals and, as a tribute, the band retained Leeman's name, but they found it difficult to carry on without his powerful presence and, following two further releases, they broke up in 1966. Davidson later resurfaced drumming with The Nice.
