A Coventry group, The Sorrows had a raw approach to R&B, yet at the same time were capable of producing a distinctive, atmospheric sound - "Take A Heart" - their only chart record being a good example.
They were another of the bands who failed to achieve the recognition that their talent warranted.
Singer Maughn later changed his surname to Fardon and enjoyed two solo hits in 1970.
