Yes, this page, essentially, is a the bastard child of my website. The fan pages attached to my site were supposed to all be "Fan pages for people who don't have fan pages but deserve fan pages", right? Well, Danny Masterson may deserve a fan page, but he already has PLENTY. I will not, I repeat, WILL NOT have any links to the afortmentioned pages on this site. Hey, it might be a bastard, but I can still retain some semblance of dignity. Okay, now, if you are looking for a traditional teenyboppery fan page, leave now, drive thru. This is MY kind of fan page, and it will not contain info about Danny Masterson, tidbits of interesting facts, pics titled "isn't he just the stud of the world?", and film credits all readily organized for your viewing pleasure. This page will explain why I happen to think he's worthy of a fan page. See, I'm not a teenybopper. And I figure there are plenty of "those" kind of sites anyway. I'm tryin' to break out of the system here people, so work with me.
When I first saw an ad about "That 70's Show", I thought to myself "Geezus, that show looks lame. What a pathetic name. "That 70's Show'. Hmph, they think they're being sooo funny". Then, back earlier this year after I had neck surgery (don't ask), I was lying around the house for a month or two with nothing to do but activities the involved sitting without moving my neck...namely, watching TV and videos. One day, I was bored, and stopped on Fox. There it was, that silly old 70's show. But I was bored. So I watched. And dammit, I'll be hornswaggled if I didn't laugh so hard my stiches hurt. I loved the humor, and all the 70's gags, even tho I'll admit I wasn't there the first time around. Another perk was that the talent was incredible. I love no-names, I really do. I mean, hey, have you ever opened up a copy of Entertainment Weekly and seen an exclusive interview with Topher Grace or Wilmer Valderrama? I don't think so. And I love that. I love "discovering" new actors I haven't seen before. And I'll tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed "discovering" Danny Masterson. He plays Hyde, this guy who is so delightfully aloof and cynical. He always stays a bit away from the rest of the "gang". I love his cynical and sacastic comments. After searching That 70's Show on the net, I found the official site and found out some other pretty cool info about him. He's from New York, a hell of a town (the Bronx is up and the Battery's down...). I also learned that he isn't really a no-name. He's been in lots of stuff, TV and movies. And apparently he was in some 100 commercials before he turned 16! That's pretty impressive. And, here's the topper...he's done a handful of indie films as well! I love indie flicks. I intend to attempt to find these movies and check them out. If you want to as well, they are "Dirt Merchant", "Too Pure"(both of which were screened at this year's Cannes Film Festival), "Happy Birthday Billy Gale," "Family Values" and "Lunchtime Special." A sad little tidbit I found was that he is !!22!!, and living with his girlfriend in Los Angeles. AT first, I was daunted, thinking "he's too old, and he's taken". Then I did a double take, and remembered that I also adore Gabriel Byrne, who is 50 some years old, so it really doesn't matter does it? Ah yes, another thing I noticed about this, ahem, fine young actor is that he is indeed fine. Very attractive, overall. But like I said before, this is not a teenybopper page, so I wont dwell on his sexiness...at least not so that you can see (ooh, I am soo naughty...hey, get your mind out of my gutter!). I hope you enjoyed this fresh take on fan pages. I know I did. Now, I thought at first, I will just put one pic, putting more would be too teenybopperish. But, what the hell, here are some more.
