5/20/03 - SO THIS IS GOODBYE...
Due to medical reasons with one of our members, it is time for StoneKracker to be over. This band has been together a total of 7 years (2 as Moonjell and 5 as StoneKracker) and after 2 Warped Tours, 3 SXSWs, 3 CD's, 3 Top Ten Metal Band positions in The Austin Chronicle, and numerous #1's on MP3.com, we have nothing to be sad about and are only proud of where we've been and where we are all going from here.
Eric and myself would like to thank Max Aguilar, founding member of both Moonjell and StoneKracker, Roy Pena, founding member of Moonjell, and Bruce Ford, founding member of StoneKracker. We wouldn't be anywhere without the three of you and will hold you in the highest regards always. And we would be nowhere with out Rob Rosson and Roy Hernandez currently. We wish you the most of luck and we are happy that most of the last year of this band was spent with you guys. You are both very genuine, talented, and special to us.
We also don't want to forget to mention the rest of our StoneKracker family: Josh Wardrip (Suburban Terror Project), Josh Klayman (Powderburn), Ryder Bouldin (band name yet to be determined! Good luck to you and Rob, dude!), Drew Baker (Picasso's Radio), and Gene Keely (Speedloader). All of you kept the band going and believed in what you were doing while you were here and that means the most to us.
Thanks to Joseph Smith, Jr. (former Powderburn) and Walter Hertenberger (Inhabit - R.I.P.) for letting us hang-out and for helping us out with a gig or encouragement. You two are among Eric and I's best friends and you both are outstanding individuals.
And now a thanks to "bands that liked us even when we sucked": Appeal To Ignorance, RubberHed, EnKindle Crown, Powderburn, Inhabit (R.I.P.), Aggrorhythm (R.I.P.), 28MPH/Sycamore, HeKill Three, Unloco, Shovelnose (R.I.P.), Good In The Sack, Interstate 808/Air Tight Alibi, and Tea Bag. I don't think we'll ever forget any of you!!!
I am working on a solo album; Eric is working on his own music and mine. Rob is in the stoner metal band Smoke Devils, and Roy is in the midst of a new ZZ Top tribute band project. I just know all of us will be as successful apart as we were together.
My last thanks is for all of our fans; I will miss you more than you know! Always keep it positive, y'all!
I'm out for now! I will update you on developments on the members ventures away from the band. Take care of yourselves and each other!
- Dana "Red" Cooper

3/16/03-THANK YOU! THIS SXSW THE BEST EVER!!!
What a showcase! Thank you all for coming out Friday night. We really think this year's SXSW was the best! The Backroom was nice and full and everyone had a blast! We are truly blessed!
And I have to say, the SXSW tradshow was pretty awesome this year too! Lots of tools on how to get your band noticed, etc. It was pretty packed in there also the day we went, as were most of the streets and clubs when we were out! I think SXSW as a whole was a great success this year!

2/7/03 - WHAT HAVE WE BEEN DOING?
Wanted to give you a quick update on what the surviving members of StoneKracker have been doing with themselves in their time off!
Guitarist Rob Rosson has been playing bass in a band called Smoke Devils! Their first gig is Monday, March 10th, at The Steamboat. They go on at midnight, so head on over and give Rob lots o' support! They also have a gig Monday, March 24th at The Vibe. Our good friend, and camera man, Evan Davis, is playing guitar in this band, also, so you'll definately want to check them out!
Vocalist Dana "Red" Cooper has been working on her solo debut entittled "The Hedgehog Concept" and is hoping for a June 2003 release date. Besides that, she is working on another band altogether which contains some other familiar faces to the Austin Metal Music scene. Stay tuned for details.
Bassist Eric Cooper, after over 15 years of playing, is throuroughly enjoying the down time, although look for him to join Red in the new band project, as well!
And that's all she wrote for now! We're curently working out if there may be a StoneKracker show next month, but it may be that plans will be on hold for that for quite some time! We are enjoying ourselves immensely and thank you all for the support you've given us! (Our Puppet Show MP3.com page is almost over 13,000 plays!)

11/27/02-How are my little Krackers doing today? I wanted to let you know that our MP3.com page containing the whole CD of Two Birds With One Stone from 2000 is finally all up and running! Click here to statrt listening! We even have the rare tracks up like "Blown" and "Unexplainable"! Getting to work on the page for our 1998 release I Just Might, so look for news on that soon!
And thank you so much for making our new page for the entire CD of The Puppet Show a success! Since it came up a couple of weeks ago, we've had over 2000 plays! We're hoping it's as huge as our previous MP3.com page which ended up having over 130,000 plays before we retired it! Thank you all again! If you haven't been there just click here to get started!
11/9/02-How are my little Krackers doing today? Wanted to let you know about the brand new StoneKracker page on MP3.com. We've been thinking about doing this for awhile and took the plunge! You can now download the whole CD (Except for our cover of "Killing In The Name") of The Puppet Show by clicking here ! We will also have soon a page where you can download all of our second CD, Two Birds With One Stone by clicking here ,and a site yet to be constructed for our first CD, I Just Might. While the site for The Puppet Show has all the songs uploaded, the rest of the sites are currently incomplete, and none of them have the band information, etc. And we'll be featuring the band information and pictures from the Stonekracker line-up at te time of recording, so check back soon to see some really old-school pictures of the band (especially with that I Just Might page!)
Besides the recent addition of "Scream" to Rawcore.com we told you all about a few days ago, we just received word from Electronic Brasil that they want to do a piece on us. They found us, once again, through the new Iuma site! We'll let you know when that happens!
Also wanted to let you all know we're still taking time off to find a new drummer, write new songs, and just enjoy life a little! It's been a long almost 5 (actually 7 if you count the two years StoneKracker spent as another band) and we're taking a little time to rest and kick back! We're all having a great time, and Eric and Dana are starting work on some for stuff for Dana's new MP3.com page coming soon! More details on that as they are available for sure! So, for the rest of 2002, it's all about the goof-off! We'll see ya in the new year!
11/5/02- How are my little Krackers doing today? Wanted to let you know we've gotten a lot of great feedback from the Iuma page! One in particular was from the morning DJ, Darron Boggs at Rawcore.com ! He thought "Scream" kicked so much ass that he added it to their line-up, and you should see the roster of songs! Quite impressive! Go over there right now and give the site a listen!
11/4/02- How are my little Krackers doing today? Wanted to give you a another quick Iuma page update! We hit #15 today! Thank you again for all your support for the new page!
11/3/02- How are my little Krackers doing today? Wanted to give you a quick Iuma page update! We hit #19 today! Thank you for all your support!
11/2/02- How are my little Krackers doing today? Just wanted to say thank you for making our Iuma site a hit! We've beeen ranked at #34 on the Heavy Metal chart for downloads and #180 on the Iuma site overall! Remember, if you haven't checked it out, click here and you'll be taken right there. A lot of people have said how they like the set up. It's definately more eye catching and has more fun things than MP3.com. However, stay tuned for more info on the new MP3.com pages; won't be long now!
10/28/02- How are my little Krackers doing today? Wanted to tell you we have a new MP3 site launched at Iuma.com. Just click here to be taken to the new site. For the first time we have the song "Wrong" available for download, so get on over there! Still working on the new MP3.com sites (yes, I said "sites"; there will be more than one), so stay tuned!
10/22/02- How are my little Krackers doing today? Wanted to let you all know real quick that we are currently re-vamping our MP3 site. Sorry for any inconvenience! If you need StoneKracker music in the meantime, email us at moonjell@austin.rr.com and we'll be happy to send you whatever CD you need! You can also hear a few songs at our MP3 site at loudenergy.com Talk to you soon with some hopefully exciting news!
10/7/02- STONEKRACKER SHOW CANCELLED BY VENUE
Our show October 25th with Tea Bag has been cancelled by The Vibe as the night was sold off to a fraternity party. We apologize for the inconvenience as we told a lot of you when the next show was! We are working on some dates at The Backroom and Flamingo Cantina in November, so stay tuned!
In our time off, we hope to accomplish a few things: writing some new tunes, working on a new cover or two, and officially adding a new drummer. Gene Keely will no longer be able to be a part of StoneKracker after the injuries he sustained in August and we will miss him dearly.
So, stick around! Things are about to get crazy again!

Now, we will still be doing our September 1st show at FloodFest 2002 (at The Backroom also), so you only have to wait one more week! A HUGE thanks to our good friend Roy Hernandez who is going to be playing drums for us in the coming months. And another BIG ASS thank you to Danny from Tea Bag who offered to fill in this weekend! We didn't want to stress him or his band out, but we wanted to let him know how much he's appreciated!!!!

8/11/02-How are my little Krackers doing today? Have some great news today about some recent radio additions of tracks from The Puppet Show:
First off let us thank Beth Jobe of Alaska's Tundra Trash Radio
. She not only has tons of Austin artists but has been featuring StoneKracker not only on the internet, but on the local radio staion where she works and says, "Your music is going exremely well both on my web station and
locally as well. The phone rang so much, when we played your CD." THANK YOU, BETH!!! She also sent me some statistics on our music there:
The numbers folowing the the song titles tell how many the times the song
has been played, followed by the number of people who disconncected during
it's play, and then the loss rate for that song. So on most of our songs, there is a 0% tuning out rate! Can we thank Beth enough?
