Los Lobos, who was the best opening band I've heard for DMB, closed their set with an incredible cover of G.D.'s Bertha (the highlight of the night!) I think DMB has the potential to play a much larger array of songs than they actually do. They have been pushing "Crash" so heavily that new songs haven't been able to develop. Fabulous Seek Up even though they're giving the end to Boyd--I'm partial to hearing Dave wail myself. Dave's unstable religious beliefs were questioned by the strong spirituality of Red Rocks--he commented on how "after seeing this place, it's kinda hard to think there isn't a heaven/god."

I think the band needs to take some time off and write some new songs collectively but for the moment, they are living it up--enjoy them whenever you can! 1
