What can I say....with the exception of some unreleased songs, this was a dream set. The band did seem to be a bit tired, but the energy level progressed throughout the evening. Dave had the crazy legs workin'...Roi was blowing up a storm and Carter Beauford was just thumpin'! Was very impressed with Typical Situation....long extended beautiful version that keep all on their feet. Was nice to hear LLD, kind of surprised they played it. Overall.....a great set, but believe it or not, Billies stole the show. I'm actually a bit weary of this song, especially lately, but the band was into it tonight....and it rocked. All were screaming for more. (including me) And more we had....a great Leave Me Praying and quite energetic Ants closed out the evening. 2 hours 25 minutes of DMB!! In the words of Marv Albert, "YYEEESSSSSSS!!!" Not much Davespealk other than the Greenpeace schpiel....however, when the band did reappear for the encore---someone hurled a glowstick onto the stage---Dave retrieved it and playfully sent it sailing back into the crowd---(looked like it boinked off some unsuspecting sap) There was one magical moment in this show for me.....during Billies. Boyd and Dave were facing each other and laying down some serious jams. Dave had just busted his E string and it was flipping up and down....at the same time, Boyd's bow had about 4 frayed strings flying to and fro.....they were both just rocking back and forth and their respective strings were flying up and down....opposite each other. Almost looked like they were puppets on strings. Very cool visual. In any case.....new songs or no new songs, for those who hav yet to see the band on this tour, you will NOT be disappointed. It was wonderful. Saw quite a lot of tapers there, so the show will be out there in trader-land soon I'm sure.

Let me first of all say that after hearing the band for the first time live I am a little disapointed with the way the CD's sound!!! Man do these guys RULE in concert. I have been to my share of concerts over the years and this one was by far the best. If I had know how good it was going to be I would have paid the money to sit up front!!!!! BTW. AWESOME SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am starting to get interested in the DMB Bootlegs so write me for a trade!!!!!

SARAH REUTER

ONE WORD CAN SUM IT UP....AWESOME! I HEARD A NUMBER OF NEW TUNES FROM THE BAND, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS PRETTY COOL. THEY SOUNDED WONDERFUL AND IT WAS INTERESTING TO WATCH THE MOODS OF THE AUDIENCE CHANGE WHENEVER THE SONG WOULD CHANGE. I THOUGHT THAT THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF GETTING THE AUDIENCE PUMPED AND THEN MELLOW. (GOOD COMBONATION!) THEIR LAST SONG WAS GREAT, I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END. AS USUAL, DAVE TOUCHED MY SOUL IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE AND ONCE AGAIN, HE PLAYED TILL HE BROKE A STRING...MY KIND OF MAN!

I was first turned on to DMB when they opened for the Dead in Vegas. I can't believe how much this band rocks. The Deer Creek show was long awaited for us who are used to spending summers dancing on the various venue lawns to the Dead. It's been a long trip. I never thought I'd dig another band to that extent until I heard these good ol' boys. Man, did we groove. It was hard to focus on one member, they're so tight. We were literally blown away (again we've been to 12 shows now) So, I guess my point would be that DMB is where it's at and it's good to know of such other faithful fans. We'll be sticking around. (The Dave/Tim show was one of my top 5) Thanks for the place to speak up. When I get my own e-mail I'll be all over this site.)

The Indy show was phat ....A lot more groovin' goin' on!

Sarah Witzmann

I thought the show was so awesome. I love dave and he did a great job at the concert. I could sit there on the lawn...amongst all the beer and bud...and listen to him sing all night long. He is definitely the greatest.

Jasmine Haase

It was awesome!!!! I got there late, had terrible seats and still had a great time.

Mike Allison

I thiught the show was great. They really rocked the whole place!! I thought that their set was great. They played the right songs at the right time. I really loved the lighting effects. I sure hope they come back next year. I hope that there is a better opening band next year, like Freddy Jones Band again. I did not like Los Lobos. I am a bass guitar player, so I wish that Stefan would perform a lot more improv solos when they had their jam.
