Okay, our band. Ironhead consists of myself, Jay darkhorse0@aol.com. My friend, Dan sickman666@aol.com. My other friend Steve sirgares@aol.com, Jordan Cohen metalofozz, and Francis Myrtle. I play the drums, Dan is on the bass and guitar and sings every now and then, Steve's got guitars and sometimes bass, Jordan's got guitars too, and Francis is the awesome lead vocalist. Dan writes nearly all of the songs, but every now and then Steve collaborates with him or I throw in my drum fill, or Steve might go nuts and try to write a song. We live in western Suffolk County on Long Island, New York, in towns called Commack, and Dix Hills.
As soon as I can (legally, without anyone taking for their own) put songs on here, I will. For now this page still lacks something other than information.
We've played in most of the school variety shows in the past year, since finding Francis. In addition we played at Sunken Meadow Beach this past summer, and also at some other school events in need of musical entertainment.
Coming up for us next is some T-Shirts we ordered along with some 20 other fans (they never even saw what one would look like! Makes me feel real good!)
UPDATE:
WE WON! $100 is ours as are the gloating rights. We played "My Hero" (Foo Fighters), "Interstate Love Song" (STP), and "Alive" (Pearl Jam). If you missed it, well it won't change your life, but i think it was worth $5. Asta la byebye for now.
UPDATE:
WE WON AGAIN! Another $100 for kicking ass at the BLC Variety Show. We went with a heavier set of songs this time:
"Wherever I May Roam" (Metallica), "Again" (AIC), and "Bulls on Parade" (Rage).
UPDATE:
Time for a non-competitive show! We played at CHS's In the Spotlight, an acoustic show, on Oct. 23. Unfortunately, they only let each band do two songs, and the advisor guy kind of signaled 'no more' when the crowd wanted us to play one more. Anyway, we picked "The Downtown" (Days of the New) and "My Own Prison" (Creed).
UPDATE:
Back in competition with the rest of school at Music Madness. Dec. 4th, the CHS auditorium hosted us, along with 6 other bands, although we were the ones with the loudest and most intense set. $150 for the 5 of us and another 1st place as we blew Commack away with our first public performance of an original song. The set was close to 12-15 minutes, and it went a little like this: Man in the Box (Alice in Chains), Grip (Ironhead), and Hunger Strike (Temple of the Dog). What a night!
