Why Christian Rock Music?Because the bible says so!
Here it is,plain and simple in black and white. Christian rock music is not the work of the Devil, instead it is God's will. In Psalm 98, God inspired the psalmist to write of how we should praise God. Verse four says: "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music." Verse five continues, saying "Make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing." If this is not God's way of telling us that people playing guitars and singing loudly the praises of God is not only acceptable but expected, I don't know what does! In Psalm 149, God's servant the psalmist says "Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with the tambourine and harp." Here God lets it be known that the people are to dance in praise of God. Finally, in Psalm 150, the psalmist lists a number of instruments which should be used for God's praise: Beginning with the third verse, "Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" For those of you that are fans of ska and swing music, this is YOUR chapter of the Bible. These scriptures are all from the New International Version of the Bible (NIV).
