The TV show Doug, which premeired August 11, 1991 is about an 11-year old's personal experiences as he writes them in his journal, which are then played out in a little segment. Doug Funnie is the one writing in his journal. Doug weard a wool sweater and short pants and is really an outsider at Bluffington Shcool, the school he attends. He is constantently being bullied by lether-jacketed Roger Klotz. Another embarrassment that he endured was that his sister Judy, was usually involved in the arts named "performence art." With his best friend Skeeter Valentine and his dog Porkchop Doug was able to excape into a fatasy world inhabited by Quail man and Quail dog. In 1997 Disney bought the rights to this early Nickelodeon nicktoon. The started airing brand new episodes on Disneys One Saturday morning along side with some other new cartoons during Saturday morning. The new series called "brand-spaking new doug" still airs every Saturday during the One Saturday morning, along with the orginal 65 that still air on Nickelodeon and Noggin every day.

Main characters

Doug Funnie- an 11-year with a wool shir and short pants, usually the one made fun of, expecially by school bully Roger Klotz. All of the episodes are with him writing in his diary, and then the story is played out on the TV show. "Skeeter" Valentine- Doug's best friend. Skeeter teached him somethings like how to order at the Honkerberger, the hangout for most of the teens in Bluffington. He also "honks" when he talks. Roger Klotz- the school bully. He is usually playing practical jokes on the kids at school, mostly but not always Doug. Patti Mayonnaise- Doug's is in love with her, but won't admit it. Usually he is her partner for school projects. Bebe Bluff- the daughter of a very rich father who ownes a mansion in town. She is usually braging about how her family was the first in Bluffington. Porkchop- the Funnies' family dog. One of Doug's friends. Porkchop can also partially understand human speech. other characters Mrs. Wingo- Doug's main teacher Mr. Bone- Bluffington Schools vice principal. He's part of a yodleing club. Mr. Dink- Doug's strange neighbor. He somtimes comes to him for advice. Judy Funnie- Doug's Bohemian Free spirit sister.
