 his innocence,sincerity & humility, coupled with his excellent martial skills (lightning-fast kicks,powerful punches,atheletic moves in a cat-like stealth,without reliance on fancy stunts) & his funny but handsome features (exceptionally big bulging but expressive eyes & weird but strong facebone structure)has won over his audience,including me,especially through his role as the kind-hearted but naive monk 'Hui-Chok' in the critically acclaimed HK-TVB period drama series "The Demi-Gods & The Semi-Devils" based on the popular swordfighting novel series of famous Chinese writer Jin Yong (penname of Louis Cha). his potrayal of the Chinese traditional figure Hung Hei-Kun in the 1999 series 'Fong Saiyuk', being well-received,allowed his career to rise to greater heights. although under-rated, he appeals to us as the boy next-door,he has whatever qualities most young celebs of nowadays lack & is thus the perfect boyfriend that the folks at home would approve of. grade=4 |

physical attributes.the charm he exudes as Rick is smashingly romantic. also,his performance in "Gods & Monsters"
as Clay is hauntingly unforgettable.

i've always liked the not-so-popular or less well-known artistes.both eric & louis are
not very well-known here in singapore,but they do have supporters everywhere.they are also not as famous
as andy lau,aaron kwok,daniel chan, gallen lo etc.however,their efforts are recognised.eric's looks,despite his age
remains 1 of his strong advantages,other than his experience & acting abilities.

very popular actor-singer of Hong Kong's TVB station,in fact 1 of the major stars of the station.he has won awards for his acting skills.his good looks,along with his experience & nice voice have enabled him to go far.despite his age (40 years old but does not look like it),he is always cast in young roles.used to be stereotyped as the heartless Cassanova or the prodigal son,which were all the same,& these did not reveal his talents. good in playing comic characters,& is at his best in 1997's critically acclaimed comedy series "Old Time Buddy 1", which shot him to the fame he enjoys now.Of all the TV series shown on Singapore television from Jan-June'2000, this show is currently ranked 1st as the most watched series when it was shown from March-April'2000. sequel was equally well-received. |
it is with the above-named show that finally attracted the audience's attention, because it was a breakthrough
character, as the parodied version of a 1960s actor.he acts well,sings fine & looks presentable.
moreover,he is 1 of the few actors that lives a clean & healthy life,
remaining faithful to his job & duty as a husband-father/family, without having any undesirable news reports of him.

her simplicity & her beauty in "The Mystery Files"
were the first reasons that made me like her.it was with the "Old Time Buddy 1"
show later that truly caught my attention as she plays the parodied version of
another 1960s movie star,a brilliant performance as that innocent girl.her sweetness continues to
charm her audience in its sequel.

it is undeniable that she's lovely,but she can really act & sing! her individuality touches me.
many aspire to be like her but there is none so original except herself.
it's a shame that she died so young.

i don't really think very well of many female celebs,because this is a male-dominated industry.my expectations are high,so it's hard to find some female celebs that i like.i found kristy, marilyn & maggie.kristy is graceful, feminine & demure,which is something that is not seen much in many female stars who try to act otherwise.her beauty seems to bring out a virginal quality, therefore i like her well.her performance opposite eric wan in the "My Date with A Vampire" series 1 & A HREF="http://www.hkatv.com/drama/
vampire-2/top.html--vamp2">2 is likable.however,she tends to casted as the the damsel in distress too often,but fortunately,her looks & the gentleness make up for the imbalance.
